The last mystery of Europe and the most talked about novelty of the season: Albania, will please those who are tired of mass destinations, who are tired of Montenegro and Bulgaria. This country is for those who thirst for new sensations, who are looking for beautiful landscapes, endless beaches of two seas and cozy bays.
Tips and features:
- Agree on the price with the taxi driver in advance;
- Traffic is chaos. A complete lack of traffic lights and road signs, traffic rules are not followed, and endless mountain serpentines … you can’t go anywhere without them;
- Beware of open manholes on the sidewalks and wild dogs that gather near garbage cans;
- Bargain at the bazaar;
- Have small bills in dollars or euros with you, and preferably in cash, so that you can exchange them for the local currency lek at the hotel reception;
- Many Albanians, in addition to their native language, speak English, Italian, German and Greek. The older generation speaks a little Russian. Today, the majority of the population is Muslim;
- The menu in restaurants is in English, Italian, German, and now many restaurants also have Russian and Ukrainian;
- In restaurants, one portion can easily be shared between two people;
- In Albania, according to the law, the use of chemicals in the cultivation or production of food products is prohibited, in general, any chemical intervention in the life of plants. That is, all food products are environmentally friendly;
- In hotels, you will be offered meals from breakfast to the all-inclusive system (portioned or buffet). We would recommend stopping at breakfast to taste all the delights of the local cuisine, the prices of which are still low, and the variety is great!;
- All hotels in Albania have free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The hotels have Russian-speaking staff. In most hotels, sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are provided free of charge, beach towels are not provided;
